Summer Term 2009

Dear Parents

We can not believe that another playgroup year is nearing its end,we have had an exciting year and lots has gone on.

Our Ofsted inspection happened at last and to our huge relief we were given a good report this can be viewed on the Ofsted web page.

Our outside area has been given a face lift thanks to Bucks County Council and we have been able to order some new equipment to add to our growing selection of resourses.

Bev ,Kerensa and Sharon have all worked extremely hard in gaining further qualifications,Bev and Kerensa have completed their NVQ levels 3 and Sharon her NVQ level 2 so congratulations to them.

Vicky Lee has been on the Dagnall Under Fives committee for 15 years and has just recently left us for a new posistion as a childminding co-ordinator,we all wish her good luck in her new role and hope to still see lots of her.

Summer Term 2007

Debbie for all her hard work and dedication to Dagnall Under Five's and wish her all the best in Stevenage.

Tina has joined the playgroup team as deputy in place of Debbie, and Kerensa has joined in place of Fiona who will be leaving us in the summer.

Autumn Term 2006

Dear Parents

Welcome back to playgroup and the autumn term. I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce myself to you all, my name is Ann Tobin and I am the new Dagnall Under Fives Leader. I have been a qualified nursery nurse for 22 years. For the past 18 years I have been an assistant nursery supervisor in a small private nursery in West London.

My husbands job relocated in March so we decided to make the move to Wellhead.

Over the next few weeks I hope to have a chat with you all but it will take me a little while to get to know you and your children.

As you know we usually cover several themes during each terms. The theme for our first two weeks starting Monday 11th September is ourselves. We will be investigating subjects such as body parts, height, growth, healthy eating and hygiene.

We will also be concentrating on the letter A and the number One. It would be hugely beneficial if you could extend your childs learning by encouraging them to bring in a item relating to our theme and/or the letter and number of the week. For example, one apple. We will use these items for a group discussion at circle time.

If you have any questions regarding playgroup please feel free to approach myself, any member of staff or phone us and do look out for new notices posted on the Village Hall door.
