About Us
Dagnall Under Fives was set up in 1975 and since then we have prepared hundreds of children for school life. Dagnall Under Fives is a committee run preschool. All parents and child minders are invited to join the committee which oversees the day to day running of the preschool. The committee is also responsible for funding and fundraising.
The preschool takes on children age 2½ to school age. We recommend that your child attends all fives sessions of Dagnall Under Fives in their last year. For children in their last at preschool, we run rising fives sessions to prepare children for when they go to school.
Dagnall Under Fives runs Monday - Friday between
9:30am - 12:00pm.
Rising fives sessions run after the easter break on Wednesday afternoons between 1:00pm - 3:00pm.
A Mum and Toddler Group is run on a Thursday afternoon between 12:15pm - 2:30pm. (Please bring your own lunch)
We currently employ six members of staff. Our leader and deputy are NVQ2 & NVQ3 qualified in early years learning. Two of our members are NVQ2 qualified in early years learning and two other members will be starting their NVQ2 training in September.
We currently have one staff member training as a SENCO coordinator.
Dagnall Under Fives operates a keyworker system. Any new child entering the preschool is assigned a member of staff as their keyworker. Each member of staff observes their key children during their time at the preschool using the Bucks County Council Early Learning Goals.

All of Dagnall Under Fives sessions are run at Dagnall Village Hall, Dunstable Road, Dagnall. Dagnall Village Hall consists of two halls and a garden for outdoor play. There are also ladies and gents toilets which can be accessed via the rear hall. Dagnall Village Hall also has a small kitchen. There are proposals to extend the hall, but these are currently only in the planning stages.
